Due to the fact that covid-19, shut everything down for two years or better, our activities and memberships have dropped very low, VFW Post 247, we are not the only one the Millard Post 8334, Sold its building, Carter Lake Post Closed. American Legion Post 331 sold their building in South Omaha. So I talked with American Legon Post 1, and they opened their door's to our VFW 247 Member's. American Legion 1, has Bands, Bingo, Dances, Good Food, and nice Friendly Canteen. There is a nice meeting room.
Post Merger
On another note VFW Post 181, is in the same boat as we are so, at our last meeting (VFW 247). Our Post voted to merge with Post 181, and Post 247 will keep our numbers. But Post 181 must have a meeting with their member's first to vote on the merger.
Video Meeting
Many of our comrades are homebound, live-in nursing homes, no matter the problem they can't make it to the Post meeting, so I'm working on putting the meeting on the internet so if you have E-Mail on your computer, or E-Mail on your smart phone you can Participate in the meeting.
